I come from a family of teachers, and have always loved reading and poetry. I also have a passion for movement, and grew up doing gymnastics and dance.
I started teaching gymnastics to children at the age of 15, owned a gymnastics training center, and was a Physical Education teacher for 17 years in Terre Haute, IN.
Yoga came into the picture when I retired from teaching and moved to Florida in 2011. I enjoy teaching Kid’s Yoga at local libraries, where I offer Story Time Yoga, Family Yoga, and Tweens and Teens Yoga.
I especially love seeing young children become more comfortable with their bodies through yoga, as they discover what they can do, gain confidence, and feel good about themselves.
I live in Tarpon Springs, FL with my husband Fritz, and can be found most days at the beach doing yoga!
“Yoga can be the bridge that brings out that spark of excitement in a child’s heart, and I love being part of the process. I hope this book will inspire that spark in children everywhere.”- Susan E Rose, Author of Let’s Make a Rainbow: A Yoga Story for Kids, and Everybody’s Good at Something: Yoga Tales from the Gym!
